Antique Turquoise and Seed Pearl Flower Pin
Isn’t this just the sweetest little turquoise and seed pearl flower? And this safety pin style of brooch is just so easy to wear! I’ve had this jewel for a while and planned to convert it into a charm - but the pin is just too lovely!
The front of the pin is a little bent. The pin closes securely, but there is a bit of a trick to it! A small piece of gold is missing from the back clasp (you can see the mark where it should be in the pics of the back of the pin), so you have to push the pin back into the catch, as it doesn’t snap in itself. Once it’s pushed in, the pin is secure.
The pin dates from around 1900, and is still so wearable! There’s just very minor wear to the gold, but really it looks like this has rarely been worn.
9ct gold (unmarked but tested)
Measures approx 33mm long and 5.5mm wide at the widest point of the flower. Weighs approx 1.9g.
