Large 3D Nefertiti Pendant in 9ct Gold

Sale Price:A$190.00 Original Price:A$295.00

This bust of Nefertiti is a nice large size, and is totally 3D with a beautifully modelled face. Often when I see this style of pendant, not only are they much smaller, but they’re often flat - so this one was a really pleasant surprise!

Nefertiti was an Ancient Egyptian queen who lived during the 18th Dynasty (about 3,400 years ago), and was the Great Royal Wife of the Pharaoh Akhenaten. Akhenaten was the father of Tutankhamun, who succeeded him on the throne of Egypt and is now famous for the discovery of his royal tomb and the treasures within in 1922. Like her step son, Nefertiti is also remembered in large part due to a wonderfully preserved treasure - a lifelike limestone bust, discovered in 1912, and since recreated countless times… including in this very pendant!

The pendant is hollow, but in great condition with just minor surface wear to the pendant.

Made by Italian jewellers Unoaerre.

9ct gold (marked 375 on the bale)

Measures approx 23mm tall and 11.5mm wide at the widest point. Weighs approx 2.6g
