Ancient Roman Coin Pendant with Libertas
The front of this pendant shows the side of the coin with the goddess Libertas, who represented freedom and liberty. The coin was struck during the reign of Emperor Trebonianus Gallus, who ruled from 251 - 253 - making this coin around 1,770 years old!
The back of the pendant shows the bust of the emperor, which is upside down. Trebonianus Gallus ruled as a co-emperor with his son for only two years (from 251 - 253), when both he and his son were killed in battle against the Goths.
I handmade the gold frame just for this coin, so the pendant is completely one of a kind.
Frame is 9ct gold (unmarked), the coin is low grade silver.
Measures approx 33mm long and 27mm across. Weighs approx 7.1g.
Free fully insured international postage
Please note the chain is not included but is available here
