Antique Turquoise and Seed Pearl Brooch
This antique brooch has the loveliest floral detailing! Shaped like a flower, with a border of alternating seed pearls and turquoise cabochons, and engraved gold leaf details connecting to a greenish turquoise centre. The outer border of the brooch is hollow, so the piece is quite lightweight and easy to wear.
When I found this brooch, several of the border gemstones were missing, and I’ve replaced them with close matches and continued the original pattern. There’s a few small dents to the outer gold border, but these aren’t obvious when worn. There’s some minor swear and tarnishing to the gold, and some light wear to some of the gems (with a larger chip to one seed pearl). Overall in great shape and ready to wear!
9ct gold (unmarked but tested), but the pin and brooch fittings are base metal.
Measures approx 24mm across. Weighs approx 2.6g.
