Old Mine Cut Diamond Solitaire
A classic for a reason! This lovely old mine cut diamond has an open culet, which is such a charming feature in these old cut stones, and is just over 0.20ct (estimated in the setting).
The antique diamond is quite a bit older than this more modern two tone setting - perhaps it was a family diamond passed down through generations and reset for each wearer? Whatever the story, it’s a beautiful and timeless ring!
The diamond is nicely faceted, but does have some inclusions. I don’t think these are obvious from a distance, but they can be seen on close inspection - the inclusions are mainly off to the sides and not in the centre of the diamond which does make them less obvious! There’s some surface wear and minor scratching to the gold, but overall the ring is in great shape and ready to wear!
