Antique Sapphire Chain Pendants in 9ct Rose Gold
These three pendants were salvaged from parts of a badly damaged antique bracelet. The pendants are all hollow, so they’re lightweight and easy to wear on even a fine chain.
Each pendant features some original rose gold bracelet links, a lovely blue sapphire and a new bale that was made from extra bracelet links. These extra links weren’t original to the piece, but were added at some point to extend the bracelet.
9ct rose gold (unmarked)
Pendant 1:
This is the shortest pendant of the group, with three links and one sapphire. It has just a couple of small dents to the largest link. There is some minor wear between the links, and the sapphire is a little crooked in the setting.
Measures approx 21mm long and 5.5mm across at the widest point. Weighs approx 0.47g.
Pendant 2:
The longest pendant of the group, with five links and one sapphire. There are a few dents to the largest link, but the larger dents are on the back so these aren’t so obvious when worn. There is some wear between the links were the gold has worn down a bit. There’s some minor losses to the bezel around the sapphire, but the stone is secure.
Measures approx 28mm long and 5.5mm across at the widest point. Weighs approx 0.59g.
Pendant 3:
This pendant was originally the centre of the bracelet, so has the largest links and the largest sapphire. There are some larger dents and a scrape to the central link. The gold has worn down in between the links where they’ve rubbed together over time. The links are rose gold, but the bale is yellow gold.
Measures approx 25mm long and 6.5mm across at the widest point. Weighs approx 0.83g.
