Antique Old Mine Cut Diamond Band
This late Victorian ring is just as wearable today as it was 125 years ago! It features five graduated old mine cut diamonds each securely set in a silver bezel (which was the most common metal to set diamonds at this time).
Other than the beautiful diamonds, which total approx 0.50ct (estimated in their settings), there is a lovely hand engraved gallery which continues along the shoulders of the ring. This looks just as special from the sides as from the front!
One of the smallest bezels has been strengthened and is a bit thicker than the rest. The old mine cut diamonds are all well matched and so sparkly, but do have a few inclusions visible under close inspection. One of the end diamonds has most obvious inclusions, and the other end diamond has a surface fracture (although neither of these are obvious when worn). There is minor surface wear to the gold and silver commensurate with age, but overall the ring is in great shape and ready to wear!
15ct gold and silver (there is one small mark which I can’t quite make out, but metals have been tested to confirm)
Size P / US 7 ¾ - this ring can be resized! Please message me for a quote if you’d like me to resize this ring for you.
Measures approx 15.75mm across the settings, and 4mm wide at the widest point. Weighs approx 2.1g.
