Antique (1881) Old Mine Cut Diamond and Garnet Ring in 15ct Gold
This beauty was made 144 years ago (in 1881!), and it’s still just as wearable today as it was back in the 1880s! There’s a charming central old mine cut diamond, flanked by two rich garnets, and buckle details engraved in the gold on each shoulder. The details in this ring are just so good!
The garnets are not original to the piece, but are a nice addition and a lovely deep red colour. There is a thinning spot on the back of the band, where the gold has worn down. There are two solder spots on the back where the ring has been repaired, but these are faint and not obvious. There is some scratching and surface wear to the gold, but nothing major considering its age! Overall in great shape and ready to wear!
15ct gold with full English hallmarks showing it was made of 15ct gold, in Birmingham, in 1881.
Size L / US size 5 ¾ - this ring can be resized! Please message me for a quote if you’d like me to resize this ring for you.
Measures approx 6.5mm wide (at the widest point) and the front section of the ring, with all three gems is approx 14.5mm across. Weighs approx 2.7g
