Old Mine Cut Diamond Solitaire Ring
The perfect diamond solitaire with a twist! This lovely old mine cut diamond is set in a vintage square setting, which I’ve set on a new 18ct gold band. The diamond and setting came from a mid century ring, although the diamond is far older than this setting and would have been cut in the 1800’s.
The diamond is approx 0.30ct (estimated in the setting), and is such a lovely diamond with a beautiful facet pattern and open culet. The diamond is nice and white (and looks even whiter with the platinum setting surrounding it!), and very clean. There are two chips to the diamond, but these aren’t obvious when worn.
There’s some minor wear to the setting, and some pitting where the platinum and gold of the setting are joined. The setting is a slightly rosier gold than the yellow gold band. The ring is in great shape overall and ready to wear!
The setting is 14ct gold and platinum, and the shank is 18ct gold (all unmarked but tested).

Measures just under 8mm across from corner to corner of the setting. Weighs approx 3.3g.
